The late Grandmaster Sosui Ichikawa devoted his entire life to further developing and polishing Goju-Ryu karate-do of the Miyagi - Higa lineage, and as a result, he created Nihon Koshu-do, the esoteric and highest skill level of Goju-Ryu Karate-do.
 
Nihon Koshu-do, was created and named by Grandmaster Sosui Ichikawa. It is the name of his art and it is a development of Goju-Ryu beyond the Miyagi - Higa lineage, and includes Grandmaster Ichikawa's own research, development and teachings.
